Tottenham had four players in this week’s team of the week, with one new signing outperforming Maddison.

Tottenham won huge at Burnley this weekend, as their new additions once again aided them get three Premier League points.

Goalkeepers like Destiny Udogie and Vicario continue to shine alongside more experienced players like Heung-Min Son. Of course, James Maddison is also flying.

Manor Solomon, a new acquisition who played well at Turf Moor and assisted on two of the five goals, is one to watch.

In WhoScored’s squad of the week, Manor Solomon outperforms James Maddision.
Of course, every team of the week is subjective in some way. However, at WhoScored, player performance is graded based on a variety of metrics.

And this weekend, Solomon, who was one of four players chosen, even outperformed fellow newcomer James Maddison.

WhoScored lauded the new Spurs winger for his impact in the final third, awarding him an 8.96 to Maddison’s 8.89.

“Manor Solomon rounds out the midfield, earning a WhoScored rating of 8.96 in Tottenham’s win over Burnley.” The summer signing set up two goals for Son Heung-Min at Turf Moor, capping off a strong start to the season for the north London club. The pair of assists came from five important passes in total, along with three dribbles and two tackles, to round out a stellar performance from the 24-year-old,” WhoScored noted.

It was the ideal opportunity for Solomon to demonstrate his worth to Ange Postecoglou. Richarlison, the Brazilian striker, must be wondering what to do now that Heung-Min Son is playing more centrally.

Solomon is a good businessman.
You can never get too many good offensive players on your team, and Manor Solomon is ideal for impact wingers.

He proved why he was signed this weekend, and Postecoglou will benefit greatly from having another player like Kulusevski who can produce from nothing.

Tottenham are looking really strong under Ange, and if Solomon can continue to contribute like he has here, Spurs might have a wonderful season.
