Teddy Sheringham praises the ‘amazing’ £170k-a-week Tottenham Hotspur player

Teddy Sheringham, a cult figure of Tottenham Hotspur, has waxed poetic about the club’s summer recruit James Maddison.

The 57-year-old told Sky Sports that the Tottenham recruit is a “fantastic addition” to Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Spurs dramatically expanded their ranks this summer, bringing in a slew of attractive acquisitions.

Maddison, who joined Tottenham from Leicester for a reputed £40 million, has made the biggest impression so far.

In Spurs’ first four Premier League games, the £170,000-a-week playmaker has two goals and two assists.

Tottenham enters the international break second in the table thanks to Maddison’s contributions.

Sheringham, who played for Spurs twice, is impressed with what he has seen from the 26-year-old.

“Harry Kane does not appear to be missing from Tottenham.” “Son has stepped up,” he told Sky Sports, according to a video from Football Daily.

“They’re playing fantastically.” Madison appears to be an excellent addition.”

In our opinion
Tottenham’s acquisition of Maddison appears to be a game-changer.

We’ve all seen what he’s capable of in the Premier League, having impressed for Leicester in recent years.

Although he was always expected to hit the ground running in the top flight, it’s encouraging to see how well he’s done thus far.

One goal contribution each game is an incredible total. While it would be extraordinary to maintain such numbers for an entire season, ideally he will continue to make significant contributions on a consistent basis.
