Everton are already looking to get rid of Andre Gomes following the departure of Demarai Gray.

According to Team Talk, Everton are still aiming to move Andre Gomes this month, with the Portuguese earning £120,000 per week at Goodison Park.

Sean Dyche, according to the news outlet, is not interested in the former Barcelona midfielder and wants to find a way for him to leave Goodison Park within the next month after spending last season on loan with Lille.

Gomes was the subject of a failed late bid from the French club to secure his services for this season, while clubs in Saudi Arabia, Greece, Russia, and Qatar are interested in him and have held conversations that have given the Toffees confidence.

Everton would like to sell the Portuguese international permanently, but given his exorbitant pay, they would be willing to allow a temporary exit this summer to get him off the books, as he might follow Demarai Gray out of the club.

Huge salaries

The financial position at Goodison Park is so dire that the Toffees simply cannot afford to have Gomes earning that much money without even playing this season, and they must do everything in their power to transfer him on as quickly as possible.

Everton will contact Al Ettifaq in order to complete the sale of Demarai Gray, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton will contact Al Ettifaq on Wednesday to finalize Demarai Gray’s departure.

The Saudi Pro League club expects to sign the Jamaica international winger on a permanent move, according to the Italian journalist on Twitter (6 September).

He stated that the sum has already been discussed, and that all that remains are the final arrangements before the 27-year-old can leave Goodison Park.

The writing was on the wall with this one after Demarai Gray took to social media to hint that Everton manager Sean Dyche had shown him a lack of respect.

Once a player speaks out against the boss there is usually no chance of a reconciliation, and it is a shame that Gray opted to go down that route in order to secure a move away from Merseyside.

Having already lost Alex Iwobi to Fulham on transfer deadline day, seeing his already stretched squad depleted even further with the exit of Gray will be a blow to Dyche.

Gray has been one of Everton’s bright spots over the past number of challenging seasons, but consistency has been a major concern for the winger.

In some respects, parting ways is perhaps the best option for all parties, although Dyche will be frustrated by his inability to bring in a successor until January.
