Bertrand Traore of Aston Villa is questionable for the Crystal Palace match after suffering a Grade 3 rupture.
Dr. Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has joined us as an exclusive columnist. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on Aston Villa’s injury situation every week…

According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Bertrand Traore lacks match sharpness, making him a doubt for the Aston Villa vs. Crystal Palace encounter.

According to the injury specialist, while he did return to play 21 minutes against Hibs on August 23 and 9 minutes against Burnley, he is still a doubt for the encounter.

That’s because he was left out of the matchday squad for the following game against Liverpool, as well as the second leg against Hibs

GW35 Differentials: Bertrand Traore

Dr Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist, told Villa News about his injuries and lack of match fitness:

“It’s difficult to say (his current fitness levels) other than he’d been out since late June and had a significant muscle tear.”

“This appeared to be a grade 3 muscle rupture, which would correspond to him being stretchered off the field.”

“He hasn’t played much since his recovery and hasn’t even made matchday squads.”

“He clearly lacks match sharpness and is a question mark for the upcoming games.”

Traore might make the bench if he is pronounced fit and selected by Unai Emery on September 16th.

However, given how few minutes he has played, his starting spot in that game appears to be in doubt.

The Villans’ lavish spending has pushed the Burkina Faso international farther down the pecking order.

Emery will be trying to get back on track after being soundly defeated at Anfield before the international break.

In other Aston Villa news, a senior first-team player will be out for at least a year after what happened lately.
