After a busy few months, Aston Villa’s summer transfer window has been given a B.

Clement Lenglet joined on loan from Barcelona, Youri Tielemans arrived on a free transfer from Leicester City, Pau Torres joined from Unai Emery’s former club Villarreal, Moussa Diaby joined from Bayer Leverkusen, and offensive midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo joined on loan from Galatasaray.

On the Claret and Blue Podcast, both Dan Rolinson and James Rushton agreed that Villa had a very strong transfer window as Unai Emery continues to rebuild the Villans.

“It’s similar to giving a perfect 10 for a movie review; it’s extremely rare to give a 10 out of 10.” Dan stated.

“I believe you’ll need a right-back and a backup goalkeeper to move that from a B to an A.

“I don’t think there’s such thing as a perfect transfer window.”

“In terms of a transfer window, B is a good rank. I’d happily would take that.”
