Before the transfer window closed, Charlton Athletic turned down offers from Wrexham and Derby County. Miles Leaburn also received inquiries.

At the close of the transfer window, George Dobson, Corey Blackett-Taylor, and Miles Leaburn bids were rejected by Charlton Athletic owners Global Football Partners.

Wrexham, a driven team, made a play for Addicks skipper Dobson, shown above.

After being rejected, the League Two team reached an agreement with George Evans, whose Millwall contract was mutually cancelled.

All of Charlton’s League One games this year have been started by the attacking midfielder, a former Tranmere Rovers player who began his professional career on the roster of Aston Villa.

Dobson and Blackett-Taylor are both in the final year of their contracts at Charlton.

Leaburn recently made a full recovery from an ankle injury sustained during the preseason. He scored during Tuesday night’s 4-3 EFL Trophy loss against Crawley Town.

A team from Germany and the Championship both made offers for the 19-year-old, who scored 13 goals in 40 games the previous season.
