The seven players who departed Stoke City at the end of the previous campaign and their current situations
Stoke City were the most active Championship side in the transfer market this summer, signing 18 new players in total.
The Stoke City project is now well underway. The Potters signed a horde of new players, as promised, following some tough years in the Championship after their years of misspending in the Premier League.
But the club’s makeover began at the end of last season when Stoke City released a number of first-team players, including some long-standing and previously key players.
Here we look at where the seven players who left Stoke City last season are playing now…
Sam Clucas
Sam Clucas enjoyed a prolonged and relatively successful spell with Stoke City. His time at the club though became plagued with injury and now, at 32 years old, he remains without a club and his return to football remains to be seen.
Demeaco Duhane
Morgan Fox
Morgan Fox was a surprise inclusion on the club’s released list at the end of last season. He too had plenty of offers but opted to join QPR on a two-year deal.

Phil Jagielka, at 41, is still unsigned and appears to be nearing the end of a brilliant 23-year career in professional football.
I’m Tashan Oakley-Boothe.
The 23-year-old joined League One club Blackpool after being dismissed after a fairly unimpressive loan stint at Lincoln City last season.
Nathan Powell
Despite an injury limiting his time at the bet365, much to everyone’s chagrin, Nick Powell will be fondly remembered by Stoke City supporters. In the summer, he signed with League Two Stockport County.
