After Evan Ferguson, Ireland’s u21 sensation is predicted to carry on his legacy.

What a blow.
Ireland is hoping that after his incredible goal against Turkey, Andrew Moran can emulate Evan Ferguson.

Early in the game, Kenan Yildiz scored a penalty to put the Irish down 1-0. However, in the 56th minute, Moran managed to tie the score by connecting with a corner and volleying the ball into the top corner.

The technique of the Ireland captain was reminiscent of Paul Scholes. He was perfectly poised, used his initial touch to raise the ball just so, timed his strike to perfection, and then hit the ball directly into the far corner.

Even though you could tell it was going to be spectacular the moment it landed on his foot, he wasn’t done there and continued to lead the search for the victor.

However, Turkey was able to take the lead once more, and it appeared as though the away team would triumph and return home victorious.

Zak Gilsenan of Blackburn Rovers converted a key penalty awarded to Moran in the 87th minute to tie the score at two.

Then, in the 96th minute, Ireland’s Aidomo Emakhu grabbed the victory with a beautiful finish at the very end, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

After that performance, you could be tempted to bring Moran up for the match against Holland given that the Ireland senior team is scoring goals sparingly and Ferguson is injured.

The young man, who is presently playing for Brighton like Ferguson, would undoubtedly want to emulate his clubmate and leave his mark on the Premier League.

Ireland, Stephen Kenny, and the atmosphere in the camp are all the subject of a lot of criticism at the moment, so this u21s victory and some of the players’ performances have lifted everyone’s spirits.
