Wycombe have signed young American Max Cavana on a short-term contract.

Wycombe Wanderers have signed utility player Max Cavana on a short-term contract.

The American kid joins the Chairboys after excelling during his pre-season appearances in a number of friendlies.

This included a 7-0 away loss to Hanwell Town in July, when the whole Wycombe squad was made up of trialists.

He will be a member of the development squad and will wear the number 40 jersey.

Prior to joining Wanderers, the Baton Rouge native was named Louisiana Boys Soccer Player of the Year for 2022/23.

He also spent the summer as a trialist at Thame United.

His signing as a Wycombe player, the club’s 13th this summer, came one day after he took part in a practice match versus Watford U21s at Marlow Road.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with a trialist scoring.
