AFTER MISSING OUT ON SPURS MOVE, ACE OFFERED NEW TRANSFER ESCAPE FOR £25M.

After missing out on a move to Tottenham Hotspur, Al Ittihad winger Jota could be handed an escape route to Fenerbahce.

Tottenham Hotspur did not sign Al Ittihad winger Jota, although he could go this week.

This is according to Fanatik, which claims Jota has been offered to Fenerbahce.

Jota was only purchased by Al Ittihad for £25 million from Celtic in July, but he already appears to be on his way out.

With the arrival of Italian defender Luiz Felipe from Real Betis last week, Jota may be the odd man out as Al Ittihad juggles their foreign players.

The Turkish transfer window is still open, so Fenerbahce have until Friday to make a decision.

Tottenham explored a late move for Jota.

For weeks, rumors have circulated that Al Ittihad will make Jota available.

Tottenham were alerted to a prospective deal to sign Jota before the transfer deadline, according to 90Min in late August.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou previously worked with Jota at Celtic, and the two had a fantastic time together in Glasgow.

Jota scored 28 goals and had 26 assists in 83 games for Celtic under Postecoglou, becoming a fan favorite.

Postecoglou appeared to have the opportunity to loan Jota to Tottenham, but Spurs passed on the opportunity in favor of Brennan Johnson.

The plight of Jota demonstrates the dangers of Saudi Arabia’s moves.

This is a terrible state of things for Jota, who looked fantastic in a Celtic shirt.

Jota provided not only flare but also real end product in the final third, looking like a winger with true magic on the ball.

The 24-year-old made a major transfer to Saudi Arabia but is already struggling for first-team involvement under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Perhaps the laws regarding international players will change in the future, but there is already a risk for players like Jota.

The former Celtic man isn’t well-known, whilst Al Ittihad are focused on big names like N’Golo Kante, Fabinho, Karim Benzema, and top target Mohamed Salah.

Jota is a cautionary story for young players who may be overlooked after joining Saudi Arabian clubs that have no qualms about investing ever more money.

Jota is now a costly substitute in Saudi Arabia, and if Fenerbahce does not take a chance on him, he may face a difficult few months in the Middle East.
