Aston Villa have left out three players after submitting their squad list for their Europa Conference League campaign.

Villa had to submit a squad list to UEFA last week, and as a result three players have missed out but it will come as no surprise. Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings do not feature in the squad, as both are expected to be out for an extended period, meanwhile Kourtney Hause is not on the list either.

Buendia and Mings are both dealing with knee ailments, and their 2023/24 season is likely to finish before it ever begins. Mings suffered a knee injury against Newcastle United on the first weekend of the Premier League season, while Buendia was injured in training.
Kourtney Hause, on the other hand, has not appeared in any games for Villa this season, despite the fact that there was a possibility for rotation when the first leg result against Hibernian was secure. The 28-year-old is still under contract with Villa but is not in Unai Emery’s plans, having last appeared for the club in January 2022.

Aston Villa’s group begins with a game against Legia Warsaw in Poland on September 21, followed by a game against Zrinjski at Villa Park on October 5. Villa’s group stage ends on December 14, and if they advance and make any signings in the January transfer window, they will be allowed to make changes for the knockout rounds in February.Emi Buendia: Aston Villa midfielder faces up to eight months out with knee injury - BBC Sport
