Manchester City are expected to sign West Ham midfielder Fabrizio Romano on a long-term contract in the next 48 hours, according to Fabrizio Romano.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are ready to sign West Ham United and England under-17 midfielder Divine Mukasa within the next 48 hours.

The Premier League winners are continuing their recruitment campaign outside of the summer transfer season to guarantee that their expanding academy system is stocked with the best players available.

Manchester City’s under-19s began their UEFA Youth League campaign on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Crvena Zvezda’s under-19 squad 5-2 at the City Football Academy.

Emilio Lawrence was the show’s hero, scoring two goals and adding an assist, while Kane Taylor also put in an outstanding individual performance, delivering a hat-trick of assists for his teammates.

Now, recent academy transfer news has revealed a new name who appears to be on his way to joining Manchester City’s ever-impressive junior lineup.

According to transfer source Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are now ‘poised to sign’ England under-17 midfielder Divine Mukasa from West Ham after reaching an agreement on a long-term deal with the player and his team.

“(Manchester) City keep going for the best talents as their Academy remains a crucial part of the club’s project,” Fabrizio Romano noted in his analysis.

Mukasa’s impending transfer from West Ham follows in the footsteps of Jamal Baptise, who joined the initiative in east Manchester from the London Stadium’s junior program earlier this summer.

Divine Mukasa and Jamal Baptise are not the only youth players that have moved from West Ham to Manchester City; Josh Wilson-Esbrand did so in 2019.

The England youth international left-back is highly valued at the Etihad Stadium and is currently doing his trade and refining his game in France’s Ligue 1 on a season-long loan with Stade de Reims.
