‘It’s not good news,’ says Bristol Rovers as a loan player returns to the Premier League team.

Bristol Rovers loanee Tristan Crama has returned to parent club Brentford for treatment after suffering an injury in training, according to Joey Barton.
Bristol Rovers signed teenage Frenchman Crama on loan from Brentford during the summer transfer window. He’s been a regular for Barton since his arrival, starting five consecutive games after being an unused substitute on the first day.

Crama was left on the bench against Shrewsbury Town last time out, and news of an injury surfaced earlier this week, forcing him to miss the EFL Trophy game against West Ham. Gas CEO Barton has now provided a disturbing new update.

According to Bristol World, he stated that Crama has returned to parent club Brentford for treatment following scans.

He confessed that ‘it’s not wonderful news’ for the 21-year-old, further reducing Barton’s roster. Here’s what he had to say about it:

“The scan results are in, and they aren’t good.

“He’s got a problem with a tendon.” He’ll return to Brentford to get treated for it. It’s a setback, and we believe he picked it up in training on Friday.”

Crama was expected to be out for a few weeks earlier this week, but Barton and company will now have to wait to see when he returns to Memorial Stadium.

Bristol Rovers’ backline

Connor Taylor and James Wilson teamed at the heart of defense in the most recent League One match against Shrewsbury. Luca Hoole replaced Taylor in midweek, but Wilson left at halftime, raising fears among fans.

However, Barton assured everyone that the modification was planned in advance.

That means Taylor and Wilson will almost certainly be the center-back pairing again this weekend. Wigan Athletic visit the Gas. Both teams will be looking for stability, and having central defenders Taylor and Wilson on the field might be a busy game against a Latics side that has some great offensive talent.
