Sean Dyche admits to being ‘confused’ ahead of Everton vs. Sean Dyche
Sean Dyche, manager of Everton, has stated that his players “sometimes get confused” when they reflect on their individual performances.

The Toffees have only one point from their first five Premier League games, and they face Brentford on Saturday [23 September].

Everton provided nothing in their 1-0 home loss to Arsenal last Saturday, but Dyche was anxious to extract positives from the game.

When asked how the players reacted when analyzing what went wrong, Dyche told the Liverpool Echo [23 September]: “Sometimes they get confused about why it didn’t quite feel right.”

“We ask them about their preparation, if they needed anything different, all of the things that can affect an individual, and when it ripples through the team, you get a bad day.”

“To be honest, Arsenal are a very good team – I was more concerned by the Aston Villa performance [in a 4-0 loss last month] – we were miles off.” I have to strike a balance.”

Both the huge setback to Villa and the home defeat to Arsenal were concerning in their own right.

While losing to an in-form Arsenal is not a disgrace, the Toffees provided little in the way of attacking danger.

Everton’s performances this season have been largely negative, with the highlight being a point at Sheffield United.
Simply put, whether it is the players or Dyche, a solution to what is going so poorly on the field must be found.

The fact that the players “get confused” after assessing losses is not promising.

Everton’s next chance to make things right comes against Brentford, who aren’t exactly soaring at the moment.

Let’s just hope the players don’t have to watch another lackluster performance in the coming days.

In other Everton news, a potential replacement for Dyche at Goodison Park has emerged.
