Brazilian would want to join Brighton rather than Brentford – both clubs are interested in signing him.

It’s no secret that Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo has been a target for a number of Premier League clubs, as several rumors have circulated in recent months.

Today, we learn that Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion are two clubs who have recently moved to sign him.

This is according to Premier League Brasil, which also provides some specifics on how those negotiations took place.

People close to Marcos Leonardo first ‘confirmed’ that Brighton wanted additional information on the player. However, the interactions were not recent, and he is not the Seagulls’ first choice, as they ended up closing the arrival of Joo Pedro from Watford.

Brentford moved for the 20-year-old’more than once,’ according to PL Brasil, but the talks did not progress.
It’s also been reported that Marcos Leonardo’s staff believe the Bees aren’t as good a fit as Brighton.

The Seagulls are more appealing due of Roberto De Zerbi, as well as the vast number of South Americans who have recently visited, as well as their position in European competition.

Santos pushed hard to keep Marcos Leonardo in the summer, but he’s now expected to leave, and we’ll see whether those clubs make another play for him.
