Rangers are looking for a Dutch manager to replace Beale, months after Celtic expressed interest.

Rangers may not have urgent intentions to fire Michael Beale, but rumors claim that Pascal Jansen is being considered as a possible replacement.

The Gers play Livingston in the Scottish League Cup tonight at Ibrox, with a place in the semi-finals on the line.

Michael Beale desperately needs a win today; the Scottish League Cup provides a wonderful opportunity for silverware, especially with Celtic already eliminated.

Rangers looked underwhelming in their win over Motherwell on Sunday, prompting jeers from fans who expected much more.

Beale is under a lot of strain right now, and rumors about Rangers looking for new managers won’t make him feel any better…

Pascal Jansen is the most recent manager to be associated with Rangers.

We’ve already heard a few rumors concerning prospective managerial changes at Ibrox.

The Daily Mail claimed earlier this month that Birmingham City manager John Eustace was a possible replacement for Beale.

According to the Sun, Graham Potter has turned down an approach from Rangers while waiting for the right next chance.

There is a new name in the picture, though, as TEAMtalk reports that Rangers are interested in AZ Alkmaar manager Pascal Jansen.

Rangers have reportedly taken notice of Jansen’s efforts at AZ, but he is also desired by Everton and Crystal Palace.

Jansen now leads AZ to second place in the Eredivisie and might be a top Rangers target if Beale fails to turn things around.

Jansen was a target for Celtic this summer.

Jansen, who was born in London, is hardly a household name, but he has excelled with AZ since taking over from now-Feyenoord manager Arne Slot.

Last season, Jansen led AZ to the Europa Conference League semi-finals, where they were defeated by eventual winners West Ham United.

It’s worth noting that this purported Rangers interest came only months after he was sought by fierce rivals Celtic.

In June, 90Min reported that Celtic were considering Jansen as a possible replacement for Ange Postecoglou, who had joined Tottenham Hotspur.

Celtic ultimately chose Brendan Rodgers, but Jansen could still end up in Glasgow.

The aim is that Jansen can help bring the Scottish Premiership back to Ibrox and, in the process, defeat Celtic.

That would be a dramatic turn of events, and while Beale has time to turn things around, he must act quickly, or those ties to Jansen and other managers would further strengthen.
