Tottenham Hotspur’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou, wants to sign 24-year-old centre-back Edmond Tapsoba.
Tottenham Hotspur are looking to strengthen their defense in the winter transfer window, according to Fichajes, and they have their sights set on Edmond Tapsoba. The 24-year-old is a staple for Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, and his performances have drawn a lot of notice in the last year.
Last season, the Spurs were not at their best. Throughout the season, they struggled, and their main problem was the defense, which allowed far too many goals. Spurs’ objective when Ange Postecoglou took over was to strengthen their defense, and they did sign a few players to do so.
So far in the new season, the London club has performed admirably. They may have lost Harry Kane, but the new additions have contributed to their current second-place finish in the English Premier League.
Despite adding new players to his defense over the summer, Postecoglou is still looking for more. He wants to bring in another center-back to ensure they have adequate depth and strength to compete for big titles.
Spurs are interested in signing Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen. They were interested in signing the 24-year-old in the summer, but Tottenham were unsuccessful in their pursuit of him. They haven’t given up, however, and are still interested in the Burkina Faso international.
Postecoglou is a great fan of the Leverkusen star and feels he can help them improve their defense. As a result, the Australian manager is eager to add him to his squad and wants Spurs to sign him during the January transfer window.
While the London club is eager to have him, acquiring his services will be difficult. Tapsoba’s contract with the German club expires in the summer of 2028, and they will not let him go easily. Furthermore, Spurs are not the only ones interested, and they will face competition from some of Europe’s most powerful clubs.
