Tyler Adams, a former Leeds United midfielder, has suffered another injury setback at Bournemouth.
Tyler Adams has only recently returned from a lengthy layoff following an injury sustained while playing for Leeds United.
Tyler Adams, a former Leeds United midfielder, appears set to miss more time after suffering a new hamstring injury before to Bournemouth’s defeat to Arsenal. The US international, who left Elland Road for a fee of £23 million, has just recently recovered from a hamstring injury sustained while at Leeds.
Adams missed the final couple months of the season, unable to contribute to their relegation battle. He made his debut for the Cherries in their 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Stoke City in midweek.
The former Whites midfielder was left out of Andoni Iraola’s squad for the match against Arsenal. Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, and Ben White scored to give Mikel Arteta’s team the three points, with Adams held out for the foreseeable future after being deemed fit to play in midweek.
Iraola told the Daily Echo after the Arsenal defeat, “I don’t know what to call it, a setback, but he is not feeling well.” He’s been gone for a long time, so we need to reassess, reset, make wise judgments, and think about everything.
“It is undeniable that he will be sidelined for some time. I believe it is the same region. I’m not sure if it’s the same point, but it’s true that he’s not feeling good in his hamstring.”
