It Hurt Like Hell – Leeds United Out On Loan Star Reveals Injury Struggle

Maximilian Wober, on loan from Leeds United, has disclosed that despite suffering a terrible injury against Bochum, he played the entire game for Borussia Monchengladbach at the weekend.

Wober joined Gladbach on loan from Leeds this summer and has appeared in all six league games for the German club thus far.

The Whites loanee suffered a tendon injury before halftime but played the whole 90 minutes to help his team to a 3-1 triumph.

Wober said that he was in a lot of discomfort during the game, but he persevered to the conclusion.

“My foot was partially numb; it just hurt like hell,” Wober told the German newspaper Bild.

“But the game simply did not allow me to be replaced after 60 minutes.”

“It was a real battle at the end.”

The Leeds loanee noted that the first half against Bochum went as planned and that the players demonstrated individual skills.

“Even before our first goal, we probably should have led 3:0 with these chances” , Wober stated.

“That was the first half we had hoped for.”

“We went into the fight knowing it would be in Bochum.

“In addition, we also showed our individual quality.”

Wober was a player Leeds hoped to keep this summer, but he eventually forced his way out in order to avoid playing in the Championship.
