‘Many years,’ says £10.3m player on his future after leaving Leeds on loan in the summer.

According to Spanish site Marca, Marc Roca has reacted to a question about his future while still on the books at Leeds United, with the Spanish midfielder shining out on loan at La Liga club Real Betis.

Roca, 26, had a difficult time at Leeds. It comes after he shone at Espanyol before joining Bayern Munich but only appearing in 24 games for the German champions in two years. We decided to give him a chance.

There were hints, but English football does not appear to fit Roca, and his ability to get on the ball and command the tempo was impeded by the intensity. As a result of his relegation, Roca has joined Betis.

He has joined Betis on loan, where he has excelled in the first few months of the season. So much so that he is being linked with a call-up to Spain. Of course, he is still on the books at Leeds.

Roca’s deal at Elland Road runs until the summer of 2026, but Mundo Deportivo claim a £10.3m permanent clause is included in his loan. When asked about his long-term prospects, Roca said.

“First and foremost, it is really early. In the end, I stayed for three months. I am quite satisfied and at ease. I prefer to concentrate on the present moment, which is the most important thing. Anything is possible.

“The most important thing is to live in the present moment.” If God wants me to stay here for a long time, I will be here for a long time. It won’t be if it doesn’t have to be. I’m completely at ease. “Only time will tell.”

When asked about his future at Leeds United, Marc Roca says.

It’s amazing how Roca, who appeared so out of place last season, is suddenly proving to be one of La Liga’s top midfielders so far. Perhaps a year in England helped him mature and become more physically fit in Spain.

What is certain is that Roca will have to make a decision. Betis will want him on a permanent basis, but they may have difficulty getting the necessary funds. Leeds might try to keep him. At this early stage, who knows?
