Andoni Iraola, manager of AFC Bournemouth, has stated that midfielder Tyler Adams would be unavailable for his team’s trip to Everton this weekend.

The Cherries remain winless in the Premier League this season, and they head to Everton five months after losing 1-0 on the final day of the previous season.

That win insured Sean Dyche’s side’s survival in what was a must-win game, and, curiously, this game has a similar feel for Everton following their awful 2-1 home loss to Luton last weekend.

Dyche was able to choose an almost unchanged team for this weekend’s action, while Iraola indicated in his news conference today that he intends to name a side similar to the one that lost 4-0 to Arsenal last week.

The American has been suffering with a hamstring injury that has limited him to just 20 minutes of EFL Cup action this season, and while the roster is likely to remain unchanged, it will not feature the £20 million summer signing Adams.

“Availability will be the same as last week, there are no changes,” he said.

“We don’t expect Tyler anytime soon.” We are seeking many specialists to advise us on the best course of action. We haven’t decided yet, but whatever solution we choose, we don’t expect him to be on the pitch anytime soon.

“It’s the same hamstring issue that he had when he arrived. He wasn’t feeling well after playing a few minutes against Stoke.

“He tried it, but he didn’t like what he felt. We’ve come to a halt since it didn’t feel right, therefore we’ll have to come up with another answer. We have to be certain that we do the correct thing, and we are now analyzing everything.”

Iraola acknowledged Adams’ loss, but he also stated that his team has solid cover in the shape of Lewis.
