CB Bradley Roby has been signed by the Eagles, according to reports.

CBS PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles signed veteran cornerback Bradley Roby on Tuesday in an effort to strengthen their secondary, according to NFL Network.

Roby, a first-round pick of the Denver Broncos in the 2014 NFL draft, has also played for the Houston Texans and the New Orleans Saints.

Roby started 10 of the Saints’ 13 games last season, recording 36 total tackles and recovering two turnovers. In his nine-year career, Roby has 11 interceptions.

Injuries have ravaged the Eagles’ secondary thus far in the 2023 season.

Roby will most likely replace the slot cornerback spot left vacant by the injury to starter Avonte Maddox. He could be out for the rest of the season.

James Bradberry has spent the last two weeks in the slot, but he prefers to play on the outside.

The Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders last weekend despite the absence of safeties Justin Evans and youngster Sydney Brown. It’s unknown whether one of them will play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5.

Regardless, the Eagles’ secondary will be tested once more when they head west.

Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams is second in the league in receiving yards with 501, trailing only Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings.

In addition, Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp might return against the Birds in Week 5.
