“Of course it’s annoying,” Leeds United midfielder says of the club’s decision to limit him this season.

Rasmus Kristensen, who joined AS Roma on loan, was among the players sent out by Leeds United during the previous transfer window.

The Dane has made seven Serie A appearances this season and is now at the national team camp for the international break.

Speaking to the local press, the Leeds player said that José Mourinho was one of the reasons he joined the Italian club, and his remarks were picked up by TV2 Sport.

“He’s an excellent coach.” That is one of the reasons I chose to visit Rome. He’s one of the best coaches in history, having accomplished all there is to achieve. “And he has that aura as well,” he added.

“He’s a top-tier coach in my opinion.” So, of course, I wanted to collaborate with him. So far, it’s been a lot of fun and learning.”

Roma were compelled to leave two of their summer additions out of the Europa League squad due to Financial Fair Play requirements, and Mourinho and his team decided not to select the 26-year-old.

The Whites’ right-back admitted he had no choice but to accept the Italian club’s decision to leave him out.

“Of course, that exhausted me. But I knew the laws of financial honesty. I wasn’t surprised that they went with a right back. “It would have been more contentious to exclude Lukaku,” Kristensen explained.

“He [Roma director] apologized to me and said he understood if I was angry and disappointed.” But that was the only option. I’m powerless to change anything.

“Fortunately, I have participated in Serie A matches that have occurred.” In that sense, it’s been fine, but it’s still frustrating.”

According to TV2 Sport, the Leeds player will return to the Championship side after his loan term with the Giallorossi.

Leeds signed the Dane from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022, and he concluded his debut season at Elland Road with 30 games, three goals, and an assist.
