The absence of Iheanacho and Ndidi from Leicester City’s training grounds fuels rumors about their exit.

Iheanacho and Ndidi have made 398 appearances and scored 62 goals for Leicester City.

The Super Eagles combo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were absent from Leicester City’s first training session following the end of the season break, with suspicions surrounding the players’ likely exit from the club intensifying, according to Soccernet.ng.

Following the club’s relegation to the English Championship last season, the two players have been reported as being unwilling to play for Leicester City next season.

Iheanacho, who joined the club from Manchester City in the summer of 2017, has a year left on his contract, as does his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi, who signed a six-year deal in 2018.

Leicester City’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, recently stated in a news conference that players who do not choose to continue with the club are free to leave, paving the way for both Nigerian internationals to leave.

While Iheanacho has been linked to numerous English teams, with speculations circulating that the striker desires to stay in England, Ndidi has drawn interest from Italy, with José Mourinho’s Roma among the suitors.

The absence of both players from Leicester City’s recent training session has fueled rumours about their exit from the Championship club.

Since joining the Foxes in 2017, Iheanacho has made 206 appearances and scored 55 goals, while Ndidi has made 192 appearances and scored 7 goals.

Both players are Super Eagles regulars and both began Nigeria’s recent African Cup of Nations triumph over Sierra Leone.
