“The difference isn’t big,” Nottingham Forest signing says of club’s size, comparing it to Manchester United.

Anthony Elanga is overjoyed to have moved from Manchester United to Nottingham Forest in the recent transfer window.

This season, the winger has one goal and one assist in eight league games, including two starts. Last month, he scored the game-winning goal in the Tricky Trees’ 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

According to Fotbollskanalen, the 21-year-old believes Nottingham Forest’s project is a good fit for him.

“It has been perfect,” he stated of his move. I spoke with the leaders before coming here. I understand what the leaders want and how to play the game. “The project and everything else there is ideal for me.”

Steve Cooper’s team has nine points from eight games and presently sits 13th in the rankings. Despite Nottingham Forest’s struggles to score on a regular basis, the Sweden international is delighted with his start to the season.

“It’s a long season, and we’ve only played eight games.” We’ve won a few games, and I’ve scored goals and assisted on others. So I can’t complain about the season’s start. “Now it’s just a matter of keeping up the good work,” Elanga added.

Before to the City Ground, the attacker spent nine years at Manchester United. He came up through the Red Devils’ youth system before breaking into the first team in 2021.

When asked about the difference between a ‘top team’ like the Red Devils and Nottingham Forest, the Swede told Fotbollskanalen, “Nottingham are still a great team historically.” They have two Champions League titles. So you might say I’ve moved from one large team to another.

“The change isn’t that significant. We started the league well, winning some games, drawing some, and losing some. However, it is a good team, a nice city, and a decent group of players. The season is long, and hopefully we will have a successful season.”

During the current international break, Sweden will face Moldova and Belgium, and Elanga hopes to play in both of these games.
