Atlanta Falcons injury report: The team has received a clean bill of health ahead of Sunday’s Week 6 game against the Washington Commanders.

Kaleb McGary exited the Falcons’ Week 5 victory over the Houston Texans with a knee injury, but the team is optimistic about his recovery.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Georgia – In Atlanta’s Week 5 victory over the Houston Texans, Falcons right tackle Kaleb McGary suffered a knee injury. He did not return to the game, and Storm Norton took his place for the duration of the game.

Head coach Arthur Smith stated on Monday that McGary’s injury was not a long-term concern for the Falcons and that the idea was to give McGary the rest of the week to see how he felt before making a decision. The Falcons were encouraged by his progress, as he was a full participant in Friday’s practice, despite being limited on Wednesday and Thursday.

McGary was also not assigned a game number for Sunday’s game. All of these factors lead to McGary’s likely return to the starting lineup.

After being limited earlier in the week, veterans Bud Dupree and Jonnu Smith were full participants in practice for the second day in a row. The entire list of Falcons inactives will be available 90 minutes before the game on Sunday.
