Dodgers News: Three Los Angeles starters Break Silence Following NLDS Loss

They expressed gratitude to Dodger fans after a memorable season.

The Dodgers’ NLDS sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks disappointed everyone in the organization. Most Dodgers have been deafeningly quiet since their demise, which is reasonable.

However, Miguel Rojas, Bobby Miller, and Michael Grove have all taken to social media to express their gratitude to Dodger fans for their support throughout the season.

Rojas earned more playing time than expected after Gavin Lux tore both his ACL and MCL early in spring training. He played excellent defense at shortstop, and his offensive productivity has been above average since August. Rojas hit.333 in the NLDS while playing outstanding defense.

Rojas began his major league career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2014 before being moved to the Miami Marlins, where he established himself as an above-average hitter with Gold Glove potential.

Rojas expressed gratitude to Dodger fans for “welcoming him home.” The Dodgers would not have won 100 games without his talents on and off the field.

Miller would not have appeared with the Dodgers until August unless something went horribly wrong, and he would not have pitched in the postseason. Because the Dodgers lacked a healthy starting rotation throughout the season, Miller made his major-league debut against the Atlanta Braves in May and performed admirably.

Despite growing pains, Miller delivered an outstanding performance, pitching the most innings in his professional career. On the mound, he learned to regulate his emotions.

Miller battled with command during his postseason debut. It wasn’t surprising given that he hadn’t pitched in eight days and was high on adrenaline. Nonetheless, in 1.2 innings, he allowed the fewest runs of any Dodger starter. Miller expressed gratitude to Dodger fans for a “wonderful experience.”

Grove began the season as the No. 5 starter due to injuries to Tony Gonsolin and Ryan Pepiot.

He had an up and down first full year, struggling with injuries as well, but he rebounded at the conclusion of the season and even made the NLDS squad. He stated that 2023 would be “just the beginning.”

Despite their disappointment, all three of these guys acted with class. They’re all under contract with the team for the upcoming season.
