Warrington Wolves injury news: Prop out for a long time, winger on the mend
Warrington Wolves prop Joe Bullock will miss the rest of the Super League season, according to interim head coach Gary Chambers.
The 30-year-old sustained an ankle injury while playing for the club’s reserves almost a fortnight ago, with Chambers now confirming a month-long recovery period.
“Around four weeks, I believe,” Chambers remarked in his press conference ahead of Saturday’s home game against Castleford.
“It’s like anything else; it’s how he reacts to treatment now.” They said four weeks, so that’s what we’re hoping for.
“We’re pretty healthy, there’s a couple of bumps and bruises and I’ll check on them tomorrow but I think we should be fine, I think we should be pretty healthy.”
Bullock, who joined Warrington from Wigan at the start of last season, could return from the treatment room if the club makes the play-offs.

Matty Russell, a Scotland international winger, has not played since Warrington’s 26-12 defeat to Wigan on July 14.
“He’s had a bit of an AC problem,” explained Chambers.
“We’ve had a couple actually within the group so he’s nearly good to go with that, it’s just about coming right. It’s one of those injuries that just takes a bit of time.”
Russell, who has represented Scotland in the last three World Cups, has played 11 games for Warrington since re-joining the club ahead of this campaign.
Warrington’s run-in for the play-offs
The Wire welcome Castleford to the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday, 3pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports.
Warrington currently sit fifth in the Super League table with four games remaining of the regular campaign, sitting just above Salford and Hull KR on points difference.
The Wolves finish the regular season with games against Castleford, Salford, St Helens, and Huddersfield with the hopes of making the end-of-season play-offs.
