Football at Virginia Tech: Brent Pry’s injury update provides dark perspective from Scott Rocheten hours prior
This weekend, the Virginia Tech football team will play the Eagles in a crucial game at Boston College. In terms of the Hokies’ need for a victory to get one step closer to bowl eligibility, this game is crucial.

The Hokies will face a Boston College offense led by Thomas Castellanos, a talented dual-threat quarterback who has been difficult for opponents to stop over the past five weeks. The game will be played at Alumni Stadium.

Brent Pry’s defense in Chestnut Hill will need all hands on deck, but on Tuesday, the head coach in his second year provided an unimpressive update regarding two defensive players who are injured.

When providing a defense-related injury update, Brent Pry lacked confidence.
Josh Fuga, the defensive tackle, and safety Jalen Stroman of Virginia Tech were both hurt before last weekend’s game in Louisville, which Virginia Tech lost 34-3. Both players played some but did not finish the game against the Cardinals and Pry’s update at his weekly press conference did not sound promising.

“I feel better about Fuga than I do about Stroman,” Pry said. “I think they’re both questionable and we’ll know more after (Tuesday). I feel better.
