Report: Michigan Wolverines claim that other Big Ten teams used their signals from the previous season.
Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines have yet to receive any sanctions from the Big Ten Conference. This resulted from Connor Stalions, a former employee of the Wolverines, having his signs stolen. A former Big Ten football staff member claimed to have evidence from Michigan’s opponent from the previous season on Monday. They allegedly received play calls and signals from the Wolverines.
The Michigan Wolverines revealed information on Tuesday about other Big Ten teams they thought also had signals in 2022. The Wolverines claimed that three conference teams exchanged signs prior to Michigan’s participation in the Big Ten Championship game the previous season, according to The Athletic.
There have been rumors that Michigan gave the NCAA documents about past sign-stealing. The actions were allegedly known to the Michigan Wolverines following their 43–22 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers in the conference championship game. Rutgers and Ohio State were also involved, according to the person who gave the Wolverines access to the documentation.
It seems that opponents frequently exchange signals with one another. Simply put, personnel or staff from the school cannot complete it in person. It will take some time for the Big Ten and NCAA to come to a decision regarding the investigation because of all the information that is currently out there. As of right now, Ohio State, Purdue, and Rutgers have all remained silent about the matter.
The Ten Main Disciplinary Measures
Thus far, the conference has not imposed any disciplinary measures. However, the Michigan Wolverines were made aware of this, and if Harbaugh is disciplined, they will have until at least Wednesday, or today, to respond to such sanctions. The Big Ten claims that this violates the Sportsmanship Policy.
As per the statement, it is anticipated that every competition that involves a member institution will be held with no sacrifice made to any essential aspect of sportsmanship. These fundamental components include respect for opponents and officials in particular, civility toward all, and the integrity of the competition.
This week, the Big Ten Conference may release something. It is unknown at this time what a potential punishment might entail. The investigation into Michigan began nearly three weeks ago. Unfortunately, this is far from being the end. Connor Stalions, a former employee of the Michigan Wolverines, left the university last Friday!

Michigan’s schedule consists of three remaining games. On Saturday, they play the Penn State Nittany Lions in a top-10 matchup. The Wolverines’ upcoming road test will be the largest to date.
The Wolverines will play Maryland at the end of 2023 before hosting their bitter rival, the Ohio State Buckeyes, at the Big House. To put it mildly, this season has been full of uncertainties and distractions. To win a third consecutive Big Ten Championship and advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, however, remains the players’ singular focus.
