After winning over the Commanders, Bears defender gives a loud message to fans.
On Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football, the Chicago Bears defeated the Washington Commanders, snapping a 14-game losing run that had begun in October 2022.
Chicago’s 40-20 road victory over Washington came at a vital time for the franchise.
In recent weeks, the Bears have dealt with a lot of turmoil (Alan Williams stepping down, the Chase Claypool problem, and Justin Fields’ misinterpreted allusion to “coaching” difficulties).
On Friday morning, following the Bears’ victory, safety Jaquan Brisker visited 670 The Score and expressed his gratitude to Chicago fans.
“Shoutout to Bears fans,” Brisker (via Daniel Greenberg) stated. “The best fans. Seriously. They persevered with us even though we were going through a hard patch. They attend every game, whether at home or away. That is very kind of you. It is not unnoticed.”
There’s no denying that Bears supporters are among the most fervent in professional sports. And they’re eager to root for a winner who advances far into the playoffs.
It’s been a difficult couple of seasons in Chicago as the Bears rebuild. But Thursday night’s victory over the Commanders hinted at what’s possible in Chicago under Ryan Poles/Matt Eberflus when everything clicks.
Now the Bears must find a way to replicate Thursday night’s magic against the Minnesota Vikings the following week.
