Many would have expected Henderson to come straight into the starting 11, but it could be Sam Johnstone’s shirt to lose.

What will happen next for Palace and Henderson?
Jones previously told GIVEMESPORT that he does not believe Henderson would find it easy in the early parts of his Palace career. The number one shirt isn’t a given, but it doesn’t mean leaving Old Trafford wasn’t a wise option. Replacing Andre Onana would almost certainly be a thankless effort, whereas Henderson is more likely to secure a regular starting berth in the Palace lineup. Of course, only time will tell, as Johnstone might make life difficult for Henderson by producing world-class Premier League performances.
