Everton backed for Tom Fellows summer transfer amid £15m West Brom development..

Everton look set to make a fresh approach to sign Tom Fellows from West Brom ahead of the summer window.

The 21-year-old was linked with a move to Goodison in the winter, but no deal could be agreed as the Baggies sought out a playoff place.

It now appears that Tony Mowbray’s side are going to miss out on a spot in the second tier’s top six, which could result in a mass exodus at The Hawthorns.

This could be the perfect opportunity for David Moyes to step in to sign the young winger who was a top target throughout the January window.

The Toffees look set to part ways with Jack Harrison in the summer as his loan spell from Leeds United comes to an end after two years.

Fellows could prove to be the perfect man to fill that gap after a largely positive season in the Championship.

TBR Football reported on 19 April that the L4 club are “confident” of finalising a deal for the West Brom ace in the summer.

The England under-21 international wants a move away from the Black Country, regardless of Albion’s finish, with the Evertonians determined to complete a deal.

This looks set to go through at a fee in the region of £15million plus add-ons after having a £12m offer rejected in the most recent window.

Money is likely to be tight with the move to the new arena, but the signing of a 21-year-old from the Championship could prove to be inspired.

The winger has contributed two goals and 13 assists in the second tier in a record which could serve him well moving into the Premier League.

Combining with the likes of Beto and Iliman Ndiaye could prove deadly under Moyes moving forward as the Toffees look to continue their rise under the Scot.

It will be interesting to see if Mowbray will be willing to part ways with the Englishman and what that means for the future of Harrison in L4.

Alan Stubbs has shared what he has heard about a behind-the-scenes conversation that Sean Dyche had with Jake O’Brien at Everton.

O’Brien has been a regular starter for Everton since David Moyes took the reins at Goodison Park in January, featuring in each of their 13 Premier League games under Scot.

However, that was not the case when Dyche was in charge, as the £16.4million signing from Lyon was restricted to just 34 minutes of league action in the first half of the season.

It is safe to say that O’Brien has had a new lease of life following Moyes’s arrival despite being forced to play out of position at right-back.
