Stoke City winger Million Manhoef is also on the radars of Sheffield United and Burnley amid links with Celtic, as per Graeme Bailey.
Mark Robins’ side are not safe yet but should they remain in the Championship, eyes will start to turn to Stoke City news on the transfer front. SCFC are 18th in the Championship table with four games left to play.
Five points now splits them and the relegation zone after a hugely valuable win over Cardiff City over the weekend, with a late Will Fish own-goal proving decisive.

When the focus turns to the summer, eyes will be on both incomings and outgoings. New signings are a must to help Robins make his mark but there could be some notable departures too.
Stoke City winger Million Manhoef is one player to have drawn attention with Celtic linked over the weekend, and reporter Graeme Bailey has named four more of the Dutchman’s admirers.
Bailey told EFL Analysis that Championship rivals Sheffield United and Burnley are both interested in Manhoef, as are Belgian pair KRC Genk and Club Brugge.
It is added that it could take around £10m for SCFC to sell the 23-year-old, who has six goals and four assists in 35 games across all competitions this season.

Untapped potential?.
Manhoef has looked a very bright talent since joining Stoke City from Vitesse Arnhem in February 2024. At his best, his pace and dribbling makes him a headache for any Championship full-back and he’s got a fine left foot on him.

However, the inconsistency in his output and performances on the whole can be frustrating. There is no doubt that Manhoef is a player with a high ceiling and he could go on to impress at a higher level, but good money could prove tempting for the Potters.

At £10m, SCFC would be a good profit on Manhoef, but they may feel that they let him go without truly getting the best of him if a sale is sectioned.
Other wanted stars
Manhoef is unlikely to be the only player at Stoke City to attract transfer interest this summer.

Star goalkeeper Viktor Johansson has growing international stock thanks to his increasingly prevalent role with Sweden and he has been one of the Championship’s best goalkeepers again this season.
Central midfielder Wouter Burger has had admirers before, as has Bae Jun-ho. They may appear on radars across the continent again this summer, despite enduring tougher seasons….
‘Long may that continue’ – Mark Robins’ stance over Stoke City star clear despite contract uncertainty.
Stoke City boss Mark Robins has issued high praise for in-form midfielder Lewis Baker as his deal with the Potters winds down.
Stoke City were under the lead of Steven Schumacher when the decision to loan out Lewis Baker was made. The SCFC midfielder was sent to Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers on a season-long deal.

The former Chelsea youngster wasn’t a regular starter with Rovers for much of his spell, but he was in the XI for the last four games of his Ewood Park stay before his parent club recalled him.

Narcis Pelach had been and gone by the time Baker returned, with Mark Robins leading the decision to bring him back to the Potters. The 29-year-old has been a regular in the side since and has played a starring role too, chipping in with six goals and two assists in his last 10 games.
His emergence in a key role at Stoke City has drawn high praise for manager Robins, hailing both his ability and professionalism while highlighting the increased leadership role he has assumed too. As quoted by Stoke on Trent Live, the SCFC boss said:
“I love the fact that he’s a top footballer, a great lad and a top professional.
“It’s a mix that when things are right and he’s feeling good he can produce performances of a really high calibre. I have no doubts about his talent, no doubts at all about his talent.
“I’m really pleased that he’s stepping up and taking responsibility, he’s centre stage and he’s been one of our stand-out players in most games. Long may that continue and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t.”
