What Phil Parkinson immediately told Wrexham players after Wycombe Wanderers lost to Reading..
Wrexham got one over on Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday after they beat Burton Albion, and the Chairboys lost to Reading.
Wrexham are now in the driving seat when it comes to securing automatic promotion.
Birmingham City have already ran away with the league title, while second place was expected to go to either the Red Dragons or Wycombe Wanderers.
It was advantage Wycombe prior to Saturday’s League One action getting underway but how quickly things have changed.
Wrexham beat Burton Albion 3-0, thanks to goals from Steven Fletcher, Sam Smith, and Jack Marriott.
As for Mike Dodds and his players, they suffered a major defeat at the hands of Reading.
It means the Welsh side have opened up a six-point gap and will remain in second place even if Wycombe win their game in hand.

This weekend’s win was massive and all being well, it should mean that the North American-owned club will go up automatically.
However, when being interviewed on the pitch live on Sky Sports immediately after the game, Phil Parkinson was quick to ensure his players are keeping level heads and concentrating on what they are doing.
He said: “Listen we’re obviously pleased. The way I view it is obviously we’re in a better position now then we were this morning.
“But listen, I’ve just said to the lads, ‘people will be saying, oh Reading have beat Wycombe, yeah great, but let’s concentrate on what we’re going to do next week now’.
“Have a good week on the training pitch, rest up a few of the boys who have played three games, I think that’s really important because on a hot day, on a sticky pitch, a few of them looked a little bit leggy at time in the first half.
“Now gives us a great opportunity to freshen everybody up and come out all guns blazing next week.”
