Wolves send scouts to watch “excellent” striker who has a “goal instinct..
Wolverhampton Wanderers recently sent scouts to watch an “excellent” young striker in action, according to a new report.
Munetsi delighted with first Wolves goal
Wolves have been a much improved side since the appointment of Vitor Pereira in December, with the West Midlands outfit now looking on course to remain in the Premier League next season.
Things would look a lot different, however, if it wasn’t for the performances and goals of star player Matheus Cunha, who has netted 15 times in all competitions, including 13 times in the top flight.

Wolves sold an “exciting signing” in 2022 who’d be Cunha’s perfect deputy
A former Wolves striker, now scoring goals in Serie A, didn’t do very much of that at Molineux, but would now be the perfect Matheus Cunha deputy.
Now serving another ban, however, Wolves fans were wondering who would step up to the plate in his absence against Everton over the weekend. Fortunately, Marshall Munetsi, who signed for the club in the winter window from Reims, was the man to do so, netting the equaliser in an important 1-1 draw.

“It feels good. It’s been coming and I think in the last couple of games I had chances to score, but obviously in football you can never predict when you’re going to score,” Muntesi said, reflecting on what was his first goal for the club. “But I think the coach and the players have always had that faith in me to keep on pushing and scoring.”
Pereira, meanwhile, praised Munetsi’s work ethic: “I think he deserves it because he’s a player that has this speed that I like in a player. He gives everything to try to help the team, and in the end, he scored the goal and he will score more goals, for sure.”
Wolves scouting Viktoria Plzen striker Durosinmi
If they do stay in the Premier League next season, Wolves will no doubt need to address their reliance on Cunha in the final third by signing a new forward or two. And according to Football Insider, the club is already working on doing just that, having sent scouts to watch Viktoria Plzen striker Rafiu Durosinmi in action against Lazio in the Europa League last week.
Plzen lost the game 2-1, but Durosinmi, 22, was on the scoresheet, netting his fifth goal in 10 games this season – much of which he’s spent sidelined with injury.

Durosinmi, who stands at 6 foot 4, has been highly praised by his Plzen head coach Miroslav Koubek for his performances this season.
Speaking about Durosinmi after Plzen’s 3-1 victory over Ferencváros in February, in which the striker was both on the scoresheet and set up another goal, Koubek said: “Rafiu is excellent in the penalty area. He has a goal instinct, he can find the right place and get to the ball.
“However, his lack in the middle game and combination component is still visible. He is far from his top level yet. But if he scores two goals in 60 minutes of play, we will definitely not complain.”
