Tottenham sells a defender targeted by Nottingham Forest for £12.8 million.
This summer, Nottingham Forest attempted to sign Davinson Sanchez on multiple occasions. He’s now affiliated with a new club.

Under Ange Postecoglou, the Tottenham defender slid down the pecking order. The Colombian enforcer has already traveled to Turkey to sign with Galatasaray.

Forest were desperate to bring in a new center-back. They got two in the end, with Murillo and Andrew Omobamidele joining the Reds.

Forest was thought to be interested in Sanchez. Tottenham attempted to include him and Eric Dier in their talks for Brennan Johnson.

The Reds, on the other hand, were not interested in anything other than cash for their top player. Instead, Forest attempted to sign him on an exclusive basis before moving on to other choices.
Sanchez, 27, has agreed to terms with Galatasaray for a fee of £12.8 million. He will almost certainly have received a large contract at the club, and Forest may have been wise not to sign him.

The Reds do have several centre-backs. Murillo and Omobamidele will be joining Joe Worrall, Scott McKenna, Felipe, Willy Boly, and Moussa Niakhate in the lineup.

Sanchez, a Forest target, has found a new club.
The Reds spent the entire summer attempting to sign the Tottenham player. In reality, it appears like the North Londoners were simply attempting to gain leverage by using the defender.

They were desperate to sign Johnson in the summer. They eventually got their man, and Forest did well to hold out for a full cash settlement rather than accepting their cast-offs.

Barcelona want Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez

It would not have cost the Reds much to sign Sanchez. Adding younger players with a view toward the future, on the other hand, makes much more business sense.

Sanchez may have been a good addition for Forest. However, the Reds have added excellent players and shouldn’t be too disappointed with this signing.
