The Seahawks After 14 years as the head coach of Seattle, Pete Carroll speaks out.
Pete Carroll is leaving his position as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks after 14 years. Although the seasoned football coach helped Seattle win a Super Bowl in 2014, the team had trouble regaining its hegemony. Carroll, however, snapped out of his silence to thank Seattle for the opportunity.
Carroll gave a tearful press conference to discuss his departure. He began by expressing his gratitude and love for the opportunity to coach the Seahawks for 14 years.
Being a part of this program has been an honor and an exciting experience. Carroll claimed, according to the Seahawks X account, “I’ve loved every minute of it and you’ve watched me love.”
The veteran head coach then spoke candidly about each individual he had worked with during his coaching career. He gave positive feedback for the future and thanked everyone for their support as he thought back on his time with the team.
Carroll put forth a lot of effort to become and stay the Seahawks’ head coach. But he thinks it’s a smart move for the franchise and for him to step down.
Carroll reportedly told Tom Pelissero, “I competed pretty hard to become the coach, just so you know.” Nevertheless, the 72-year-old admitted he needed a change:
Carroll will remain connected with the Seahawks and is enthusiastic about his upcoming pursuits, despite the fact that he enjoyed his tenure as head coach.
“I’m really, really hot. I’m not exhausted. What is about to happen? I have no idea. However, I’m eager for it.
Fans of the Seahawks have much to cheer about as well, as the team embarks on a new chapter in its history.
