O’HARA’S WEEK 14 PREVIEW: Campbell is unconcerned about the Bears rematch factor when it comes to revenge

Winning the revenge game is not on head coach Dan Campbell’s checklist of things the Detroit Lions must do to defeat the Chicago Bears.

Campbell worries about everything, including the weather and matchups.

Campbell remarked, “I’m not worried about the whole revenge factor.” “Our hunger is growing. To win, we must triumph. Right now, we also want this.

The Bears’ desire for revenge stems from how they lost to the Lions in their previous meeting. The Bears had virtually controlled the game from the beginning until the Lions rallied for a victory with two touchdowns and a safety in the final 3:06.

“Justin Fields, man, he’s an issue,” Campbell remarked of the Bears quarterback before listing other Bears players that the Lions might find problematic. Campbell listed every member of the Bears defensive line.

“The problem is within the game, just like it is every other week,” Campbell stated. “From the schematics to the one-on-one matches.

This one will be influenced by the weather, but it’s also a great equalizer. I adore that. The weather and turnovers are excellent equalizers.

“It will turn out well. It should be an exciting battle.

Bears facts: It’s no accident that the Bears’ goal in their past five games has been to make an impression, and they aim to do so starting with this Sunday’s home game against the Detroit Lions.

Upon their return from bye this week, the players showed head coach Matt Eberflus a renewed sense of energy as they started practicing for the Lions at Soldier Field.

During this week’s press conference, Eberflus stated, “You can feel a motivation and optimism there.” “And without a doubt, the attention on our men there. That was palpable, as was the energy.

In the NFC North standings, the Lions and Bears are positioned at opposite ends. With a 9-3 win-loss record and a three-game advantage over the Packers and Vikings in second place, the Lions are undefeated.

With a 4-8 record, the Bears are at the bottom of the North. On defense, though, and with quarterback Justin Fields in his third season, they’ve improved.

The Bears are playing for revenge after losing to the Lions at Ford Field in Week 11.

Up until the last 3:06 of the game, when the Lions scored two touchdowns and a safety, the Bears were in complete control.

“Our guys are wired in and want to perform well this week,” Eberflus stated.

Offense: Play how you did in the victory over the Saints last week, not how you performed in the two games prior, in which you lost to Green Bay while committing three turnovers and won against the Bears despite committing four.

Defense: Because Fields participated in the first meeting, treat him as a dual threat who can run and pass. In addition to completing 16 of 23 passes for 169 yards, he ran for 104 yards.

Overall: Be ready for inclement weather, including temperatures close to freezing and rain mixed with snow.

The Bears want to exact revenge for their defeat in their first encounter. They become more dangerous as a result. However, the Lions are competing for a division championship. They become even more dangerous as a result.
