Trae Young Shares Heartbreaking News on Social Media
Trae Young, the Atlanta Hawks’ point guard, has had a difficult week.
Trae Young, the Atlanta Hawks’ point guard, has been mired in bad news for more than a week. The revelation broke the day before the NBA Play-In Tournament that Young was no longer considered untouchable by the Hawks organization.
Since then, Atlanta has trailed the Boston Celtics 2-0 in the first round of the Easter Conference Playoffs. Young has shot 35% from the field and 23.1% from deep in two games.
Young’s shooting has vanished, leaving many fans and media members wondering what happened to the once-prolific point guard. To make matters worse, Young announced his grandfather’s death on Twitter earlier today.
Anyone who knows Young at all knows how important family is to the 24-year-old. The Young family is a close-knit group that tries hard to stay in touch despite living in Oklahoma and Georgia.
Young, unfortunately, will not have time to grieve until after the season is over. Atlanta will host Boston for Games 3 and 4 of the series on Friday and Sunday night, respectively. During this difficult time, AllHawks.com extends our heartfelt condolences to the Young family.
