With eighteen new players joining the Stoke City squad and numerous players departing, it has been a tremendous year of change for the team.

The Premier League, elite flights throughout Europe, League Two, and a couple who have overplayed or spent excessive time in the treatment room have been among the destinations for the subsequent moves.

Five years later, Sam Clucas signed a free agent contract with Rotherham after leaving Stoke. He is currently 33 years old and has made 11 appearances in the Championship for his new team.
