Two Major Kevin Durant Landing Spots Nixed By Former Lakers’ Star..
Since failing to trade Kevin Durant before the February NBA trade deadline, the Phoenix Suns have been predicted to part ways with him this offseason instead. Durant, clearly disrespected by the Suns’ effort to trade him, is no longer bought in on the future in Phoenix, although the future looks bleak regardless of if Durant stays or not. In an effort to build for the future in a post-Durant and maybe post-Beal world, the Suns are reportedly asking for three first-round picks and a young player (as well as salary filler) for the 15-time All-Star. The San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Lakers have all been floated as possible landing spots for Durant this offseason. After trading Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis, the Mavericks are
very much in win-now mode, even with Davis and Kyrie Irving sidelined with injuries.
