Man Utd Want to Sign ‘Deadly’ £70m Forward Alongside Matheus Cunha..
Manchester United have identified Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo as a potential reinforcement on the flank, but the cost of a summer deal may prove too steep, journalist Ben Jacobs has exclusively told GIVEMESPORT.
The Red Devils are expecting a busy first offseason under Ruben Amorim and are believed to be in advanced talks to make Wolves star Matheus Cunha their first signing.
While a new number nine is also on the agenda, United could end up bringing in as many as three forwards, with a right-sided attacker also on Amorim’s shortlist.
Although Semenyo remains an option, there are reportedly growing concerns over his price tag, which Jacobs claims ‘might prove prohibitive’ this summer.

Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs revealed that Semenyo is on United’s shortlist of potential attacking reinforcements, alongside Cunha:
“Manchester United like Antoine Semenyo, their priority is to strengthen on either the left side or, ultimately, a player like Cunha that can come in as number 10, which is Manchester United’s pitch, but also filter over to that left-hand side.
“Manchester United like the idea of bringing in a right-sided attacker as well, but the cost of Semenyo might prove prohibitive.”
Semenyo, who joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023, has been outstanding for the Cherries this season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
The ‘deadly’ Ghanaian winger has been linked with several English sides ahead of the summer window, with Liverpool and Tottenham also among his potential suitors.
It is believed a move for Semenyo could cost around £70m this summer, which would make him one of the most expensive signings in Man United’s history.
The Red Devils last broke their transfer record in 2016, when they re-signed midfielder Paul Pogba from Juventus for a then-world record fee of £89m.
