According to the Telegraph, United have added Casemiro to the sale list, alongside Garnacho and several other surplus senior players. The 33-year-old commands £350,000 per week (via Capology), with one year remaining in his current contract with the Red Devils.
Despite his quality in possession, the Brazilian has drastically regressed in recent seasons, struggling to cope with the opposition’s pace. Casemiro received a lot of criticism since his performances under Ten Hag, which failed to improve under the new manager.
Decreasing the wage budget is another important goal for the Red Devils, as their finances continue to dominate the news. United have to sell players quickly, as their task of recruiting new players will become harder as the window progresses.
