Fulham could try to leapfrog Tottenham in race for Premier League free agent…
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on re-signing a player they let go back in 2020, but they have now heard that a London rival could make the player their top target after a recent injury development.
Kyle Walker-Peters has been one of just a few Southampton players to come out of the season with any credit in a disastrous return to the top flight for the Saints, who have picked up just 11 points all campaign.
With the former Tottenham Hotspur man becoming a free agent in June, he is unspuriously attracting a lot of interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
It was first reported at the start of April that Tottenham and West Ham were set to battle for Kyle Walker-Peters, and since then, it appears more clubs have entered the fray for the defender.
A couple of weeks ago, CaughtOffside claimed that Spurs were showing the strongest interest in Walker-Peters, but it now appears that another Premier League rival could step up their pursuit of the 28-year-old.

Fulham could make Walker-Peters their top summer target
Football Insider have offered an update on the future of the Spurs academy graduate, naming Tottenham, Everton and West Ham as three sides who have shown interest in the full-back.
They say that Walker-Peters is likely to be one of the most-sought-after players of the summer and assert that he could now shoot up to the top of Fulham’s wishlist.

This is because the Cottagers have learned that Timothy Castagne faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines and are thus expected to prioritise signing a replacement this summer.
The outlet says Marco Silva’s side may thus decide to push ahead with a move for Walker-Peters and muscle their way in front of Tottenham and West Ham.
Do Tottenham need Kyle Walker-Peters?
Spurs are certainly not short of options at right-back, with Pedro Porro, Djed Spence and Archie Gray at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal.
One would think that a left-back to compete with Destiny Udogie would be a more pressing need for the Lilywhites, particularly given that Ben Davies’s contract runs out this summer.
However, Postecoglou seemingly prefers playing Spence at left-back, and Walker-Peters has also shown that he can slot in on the left side if necessary.
Crystal Palace West Ham United rival Fulham in Daizen Maeda chase.
Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Fulham are interested in signing the Celtic attacker Daizen Maeda at the end of the season.
The Japanese International has been outstanding for the Scottish outfit, and he will cost £25 million according to a report from CaughtOffside.
It will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace, West Ham or Fulham come forward with an offer to sign him in the summer. He could prove to be the ideal acquisition for them, and he will improve all three clubs going forward.
He has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool as well.
He is capable of operating as a centre forward as well as a winger. His versatility will be an added bonus for the three London clubs. The player has scored 33 goals in all competitions this season, and there is no doubt that he has proven himself in Scotland. He will look to take the next step and his development and join a bigger club. Moving to the Premier League could be ideal for him. It would be a massive opportunity for him, and he will look to test himself at a higher level. The player is at the peak of his powers, and this could be the right time for him to try out a new challenge.
All three clubs could use Maeda
Crystal Palace need a quality attacker at their disposal. They have been overly dependent on Jean-Philippe Mateta. The French attacker needs more support in the attack, and the Japanese International could be the ideal acquisition. He is at the peak of his powers, and he will look to hit the ground running in English football if the transfer goes through.
On the other hand, West Ham United are crying out for a reliable goalscorer. Summer signing Niclas Fullkrug has been underwhelming, and he has struggled with injury problems as well. They need to replace him, and the Japanese international could be the ideal acquisition.
As far as Fulham are concerned they need someone who can support Rodrigo Muniz in the attack and the Celtic star seems like the perfect fit. It will be interesting to see which of the three clubs comes forward with an official offer to sign the Japanese star.
