Everton have just moved one step closer to signing the Championship Player of the Season.
Everton are set to be busy this summer transfer window.
David Moyes is set to lose several first-teamers at the end of the season, with some leaving on free transfers.
The Friedkin Group will hand Moyes a healthy budget to rebuild the squad, which is in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, in particular.
Goals have continued to be an issue for Everton this season, and with that said, a striker appears to be top of their list of priorities.
Liam Delap is in talks with Moyes at the moment, but there is widespread interest in his signature, so it won’t be an easy deal to do.
Now, though, they’re one step closer to signing a Championship playmaker.

Everton move one step closer to signing Gustavo Hamer
Everton have been looking for a goalscoring midfielder since Moyes returned to the club, and they’d hoped it’d be Carlos Alcaraz.
However, that transfer hasn’t really worked out like expected, so they’re still in search of an attack-minded number eight.
That said, Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer is attracting Everton’s interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Hamer was named Championship Player of the Season earlier this month after netting 10 goals whilst laying on eight assists.

Unfortunately for Sheffield United, it now looks almost impossible to keep hold of him after their play-off final defeat to Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
The Blades are expected to be forced into selling their prized asset, with Everton well-placed to land his signature.
Hamer was visibly emotional at the full-time whistle yesterday, seemingly knowing it was his final game for the Blades.
Chris Wilder asked about Hamer’s future
In the post-match press conference, Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder was asked about how the result would impact Hamer’s future.
“How everything pans out, everything will take care of itself,” Wilder told reporters.
“But as you can imagine, I’ve not thought about futures – personally, or from a player point of view – being an hour and a half after an incredibly low point of everybody’s careers, really.
“The players will be incredibly hurting, the supporters will be, the coaching staff will be. But it is what it is, and we’re going to have to deal with it.”
Everton will have to shell out around £25m if they’re to sign Hamer.
