Luton Town – The Big Shandon Baptiste Question.
With the weekend fast approaching, it is now time for the ninth in our latest, ongoing series.

After posing the big question, relating to several other players, including – Alfie Doughty, Carlton Morris, Tahith Chong, Thomas Kaminsky, Marvelous Nakamba, Teden Mengi and Daiki Hashioka
we now focus on Shandon Baptiste.
The summer of 2024, following our relegation from the Premier League, the Hatters midfield was slightly bereft of talent ater Ross Barkley and Albert Sambi Lokonga had left the club.
One of the replacements brought in, to assist with a possible promotion push, was Shandon Baptiste.
After 4 years at Brentford, Shandon was out of contract and was deemed to be a free agent that wouldn’t cost Luton Town anything in the way of a transfer fee.
Baptiste signed for the club on 06-July-2024 with his resume including time at the following clubs – Hampton and Richmond, Oxford United and Brentford.
At 27-years-of-age, it could be said that Shandon is at the prime of his career but his first season with the Hatters could, in my opinion, be viewed as a disappointment.
Baptiste was to make only 17 appearances in all competitions scoring just the 1 goal, which came in last home game of the season when he scored a last minute winner against Coventry City to offer belief that the Hatters could avoid relegation to League One.
When it comes ot the international scene, Shandon has played for Grenada, making his debut on 24-October-2017, in a friendly fixture, against Panama, with the Grenadine side winning 5-0.
Called up, in 2019, for fixtures in the CONCACAF Nations League, Shandon declined the invitation with the incentive he would still be eligble to play for England, which leads me on nicely to ask the all-important question:
Do You Think Shandon Baptiste Will Be A Luton Town Player Next Season Or Is He Destined For A Move?
