Ominous scenes at Molineux after what Wolves fans did to Nelson Semedo following Brentford draw.

Wolves have finished in 16th place in the Premier League table, after drawing 1-1 with Brentford on the final day of the season.

Wolves managed to avoid a fourth straight defeat, holding the Bees after going a goal down.

Slack play at the back saw Bryan Mbeumo put the visitors in front.

But Wolves responded in the second half through Marshall Munetsi, who scored a thunderbolt after a great flick on by Jorgen Strand Larsen.

It was always going to be interesting to see if any players would indicate they are leaving the club today, with some out of contract and others – like Matheus Cunha – strongly linked with transfers away.

And it very much appeared as though Nelson Semedo will now be leaving the club.

Earlier this week though, a removal van was spotted at Semedo’s residence, leading to speculation he’ll be departing.

But it was then claimed Wolves had put a four-year contract offer on the table for Semedo.

He had been spotted at Molineux filming a goodbye video, but the suggestion was that he still had not decided at that point.

But now, Semedo does appear to have made his decision.

As per journalist Nathan Judah who was at Molineux for today’s game, Semedo was given a send-off by the home crowd.

In the video clip, Semedo can be seen being given a huge show affection by fans, as he raised his arms to wave and applaud.

He lapped up the applause as he made his way around the pitch, with fans singing his song.

Semedo a huge loss for Wolves
It very much looked as though Semedo was waving goodbye after today’s draw at Molineux, although we’ll wait and see.

Potentially, the club could soon be releasing that video that has been filmed.

Semedo leaving Wolves is a big blow for the team, because he has been a brilliant player especially over the past couple of seasons.

Nelson Semedo for Wolves
Appearances – 182
Goals – 3
Assists – 11
He’s been much more consistent compared to his first couple of campaigns and in the last six months, we’ve seen Semedo come to the fore in terms of his leadership, stepping up as the club’s new captain after the exit of Mario Lemina.

Wolves now appear to be losing their captain once again, so hopefully the next choice will be someone who’s going to be here for a while.

Nelson Semedo
