An uptick for Real Madrid! Carlo Ancelotti has stated Eder Militao’s return date as the defender continues his recuperation from a knee injury.
When Real Madrid defender Eder Militao will make his comeback from his knee injury has been disclosed by Carlo Ancelotti.
According to Madrid coach Ancelotti, the Brazilian defender, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in the team’s opening La Liga game of the season, should be back in the field by the end of March or early April.
“Militao will return in April or at the end of March,” the Italian stated in an interview with reporters. He’s beginning to feel really well. We believed that [Aurelien] Tchouameni could be used as a stand-in after [David] Alaba’s injury, and he performed admirably in that regard. Even if [Antonio] Rudiger misses just one game, it would be an absolute emergency. Militao will return, so it’s not for the whole season.”
Additionally, he made a suggestion that, in certain circumstances, he might use the adaptable Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga as a central defender. “He has never played, but he fits the profile,” he continued. He is lightning fast, gets the ball out quickly, and uses great force when in a duel. These are my three options, and I feel confident in each of them. They can do really well tomorrow, in my opinion. The center back position is, in my opinion, the easiest in football since it requires more mental skill than physical effort, which is why I believe all three of them can perform it well.”
Los Blancos are currently leading La Liga, one point ahead of Girona and seven points ahead of rivals Barcelona, despite having a long list of injured players that includes first-team regulars like Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Jr., Alaba, and Militao.
On Sunday at Santiago Bernabeu, Los Merengues will square off against city rivals Atletico Madrid. On February 10, they will play title rivals Girona in La Liga.
