Bears selected Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, which infuriated him.

Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, was ecstatic to be chosen first in the 2024 NFL draft.

Caleb Williams, the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears, was officially chosen on Thursday. This was something that was assumed to happen before draft night in Detroit.

Williams was all emotion as he walked onto the stage, yelling out in excitement before hugging NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, even though the selection was completely predictable.

The 22-year-old experienced a unique moment as he put on the Bears cap for the first time and held the jersey in front of him while posing with Goodell. He swelled with pride.

Chicago has high hopes for the quarterback of the future for the team, and he appears committed to living up to the excitement that surrounded him after his USC graduation.

Williams completed 68.6% of his pass attempts during his final season with the Trojans, amassing 3,633 yards, 30 touchdown passes, and just five interceptions.

Since 2017, the Bears have selected three quarterbacks in the first round: Justin Fields with the No. 11 pick in 2021, Mitchell Trubisky with the No. 2 pick in 2017.
